MEETING BETWEEN INVESTJIGAWA’S INVESTMENT APPRAISAL COMMITTEE (IAC) AND CRYSTAL SUGAR INTERNATIONAL (BASIC ENGINEERING LIMITED) HELD ON 13TH MAY 2022
On 13th May, 2022 a meeting was held between Jigawa State Government’s Investment Appraisal Committee (IAC) and Crystal Sugar International (Basic Engineering Limited) to discuss the company’s intention to commence production of sugar at its factory in Hadejia Local Government Area. At full capacity the factory will, apart from producing sugar, will produce ethanol and animal feed as well as generate power.
The Jigawa State Government team was represented by the DG InvestJigawa, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Land, Housing, Urban Development and Regional Planning, Director Forestry Ministry of Environment, Director Hydrology Ministry of Water Resources, Director Industry Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Cooperatives and Tourism, Director Grazing Reserve of Farmers and Herdsmen Board, Director Legal Drafting Ministry of Justice. The Crystal Sugar team was led by Hafiz Muhammad General Manager, who was accompanied by officials from their technical partners; Kenana Engineering and Technical Services West Africa (KETSWA) and BMA Germany.
