JIGAWA STATE PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP (PPP) POLICY REVIEW MEETING CHAIRED BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF JIGAWA STATE MALAM UMAR NAMADI, ON 20th OCTOBER 2022

In 2017 Jigawa State Government in collaboration with development partners, development a PPP framework that would support PPPs in the state. The goal was to enable the private sector comfortably bridge the funding gap in the provision of essential public infrastructure and services. Also, over the past few years, the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission has been working with the states to develop PPP polices that are fit for purpose. As expected, InvestJigawa is developing a PPP policy, harmonizing it with the existing PPP framework. Once the policy is adopted by the State Executive Council and gazetted, a State PPP Master Plan will be developed with relevant stakeholders, including private sector parties.
