VISIT OF PRESIDENTIAL IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE ON TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER/INFORMATION EXCHANGE BETWEEN NIGERIA AND THE CZECH REPUBLIC TO JIGAWA STATE
Following the 22nd July 2022 meeting and site inspections of the Presidential Implementation Committee on Technology Transfer/Information Exchange between Nigeria and The Czech Republic, which includes the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), and officials of the Jigawa State government regarding the selection of the State for the proposed Irrigation Nigeria Project, the committee has selected Birniwa Railway Forest Reserve in Birniwa Local Government Area for the pilot project.
On 4th September 2022 the committee visited the state together with the Czech Republic team that would implement the project, to inspect and conduct a detailed survey of the selected location. The Jigawa State team was led by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of land, Housing, Urban Development, and Regional Planning, Sagir Musa, while the visiting committee was headed by Engineer Ozi B.O.A. of NACENI.
