Muhammad Tahir holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) and Masters in Law (LLM) degrees with sub-specialty in Legislative Drafting as well as Masters degree in Business and Commercial Law (MBCL). He holds a Barrister at Law (BL) certificate which qualified him to practice as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Legal Writing Skills. Tahir is a Notary Public, and is currently a member of the Jigawa State Justice Sector and law Reform Commission. He has worked in the Jigawa State Ministry of Justice where he rose to the level of a director in the department of Legal Drafting before joining the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) as a Reform Facilitator under the Accountable, Responsive and Capable (ARC) Governance programme, until 2021. Before joining InvestJigawa as Secretary/Legal Adviser, Tahir was working as a development consultant in the areas of governance reforms around fiscal transparency in public financial management, public service management and IGR reforms.
