SMALL CLAIMS COURT INAUGURATED IN JIGAWA STATE

The Small Claims Court (SCC) in Jigawa State has taken off. The court was established in November 2021 to resolve commercial disputes involving small claims of N1million and below within a short period of time. The goal is to reduce cost and time wastage in litigation for MSMEs especially. Over the past few months since its establishment, the court was equipped and a magistrate appointed to preside over its proceedings. INVESTJIGAWA/EODB STEERING COMMITTEE HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING WITH MSMEs ON BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT REFORMS

InvestJigawa in collaboration with Jigawa State Government’s Ease of Doing Business Steering Committee held a town hall meeting on Wednesday 27th April 2022 to sensitize MSMEs within the state on reforms embarked upon by the state government meant to provide a conducive environment for the MSMEs to thrive. The event was chaired by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Mallam Umar Namadi and attended by two hundred MSMEs.

PRESIDENTIAL ENABLING BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL (PEBEC)’S NORTH-WEST STAKEHOLDER FORUM/LITUATION EVENT ON EASE OF DOING BUSINESS (EoDB) WAS HOSTED IN DUTSE ON 15TH FEBRUARY 2022.

SIGNING OF AGREEMENT ON 4TH APRIL 2022 BETWEEN JIGAWA STATE GOVERNMENT AND KADUME GREEN CONSORTIUM ON RICE PRODUCTION.

On the 4th of February Jigawa State Government signed an agreement with Kadume Green Consortium on a 1000ha rice production and outgrower scheme for farmers. The consortium comprises three companies; Silvex International, M & A’s Greenery and ADAB Agric-Resource Ltd.
