CONTINUING INVESTMENT ENGAGEMENTS WITH AWIA INC. CANADA: INVESTJIGAWA ENGAGES LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN AND EXPLORES INDUSTRIAL OPPORTUNITIES

Building on the investment engagements initiated yesterday, InvestJigawa continued its strategic engagements with the delegation of AWIA Inc. Canada through an investment assessment tour of the Gagarawa Industrial Park and the Maigatari Border Free Zone.

As part of the visit, InvestJigawa facilitated engagements with the Chairmen of Gagarawa, Gumel and Maigatari Local Government Areas to strengthen collaboration between the prospective investors and local authorities, discuss investment opportunities, and explore the support required to facilitate the proposed establishment of a lithium battery assembly plant at the Maigatari Export Processing Zone (EPZ).

The engagements provided an opportunity to discuss local-level cooperation and the importance of creating an enabling environment for the successful establishment and operation of the proposed investment.

The proposed lithium battery assembly plant has the potential to support industrialisation, create employment opportunities, promote technology-driven manufacturing and stimulate economic activities in Jigawa State.
