Building Markets for Jigawa Farmers: Hibiscus Partnership Engagement Held in Dutse

InvestJigawa today facilitated a strategic Hibiscus Supply Partnership Engagement between Comittraex and key stakeholders in Jigawa State, including trade organizations, farmers, and financial institutions.

The session, held at Ahmadu Bello Hall, brought together value chain actors to discuss supply requirements, partnership modalities, and opportunities to expand hibiscus production across the state.

This engagement was made possible through the investment link created by InvestJigawa, as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to attract reliable off-takers, secure sustainable markets for Jigawa farmers, and strengthen export-driven agricultural value chains.

Financial institutions including Jaiz Bank Plc and First Bank participated actively, providing valuable information on financing options, tailored support for agricultural producers, and pathways to scale hibiscus farming and aggregation across the state.

Comittraex presented its procurement needs and partnership framework, while farmers and traders offered practical insights on production capacity, quality standards, and expected supply volumes. The engagement set a strong foundation for a coordinated supply system that will benefit Jigawa farmers and enhance the state’s competitiveness in the hibiscus export market.

InvestJigawa remains committed to building productive relationships between global buyers, local producers, and financial partners, ensuring that investment translates into real economic opportunities for the people of Jigawa State.
