INVESTJIGAWA DIRECTOR GENERAL EMBARKS ON STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AND FAMILIARIZATION TOUR ACROSS JIGAWA STATE
As part of a renewed drive to deepen collaboration between the public and private sectors, the Director General of the Jigawa State Investment Promotion Agency (InvestJigawa), Aisha Sheikh Mujaddadi, has commenced a statewide stakeholder engagement and familiarization tour.
The tour, which began on Tuesday, 15th July 2025, is designed to strengthen government-private sector relationships by providing the new Director General with firsthand insight into the operations, achievements, and challenges faced by major investors across the state. It also aims to identify new areas of collaboration and reinforce the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for sustainable investment-led growth.
Day 1
On the first day of the tour, the Director General and her team visited the following companies:
- GCC Vanguard
- Simra World Wide Nigeria Limited
- Majestik Dairy Products and Rice Mill
- Silvex International Limited
These companies represent critical sectors such as agro-processing, food manufacturing, and export-driven enterprise. The DG engaged in detailed conversations with management teams, toured facilities, and listened to the unique experiences and operational realities of each business.
Day 2
The tour continued on Wednesday, 16th July 2025, with visits to five additional enterprises that are central to Jigawa’s agro-industrial economy:
- Vinylon Footwears Industrial Limited
- Three Brothers Rice Mill
- Danmodi Food Processing
- WACOT
- Matura Agro Resource Limited
From rice milling to footwear manufacturing and integrated food processing, these businesses showcased the growing industrial landscape of Jigawa State. The visits highlighted their contributions to job creation, value addition, and local economic development.
Building Trust, Driving Growth
Speaking during the visits, Director General Aisha Sheikh Mujaddadi emphasized that the purpose of the tour is not only to engage but to co-create solutions. “We are here to understand your realities, to stand with you, and to find new ways we can grow together. Jigawa’s future depends on how well we support and scale the investments already taking root in our state,” she said.
The tour has so far sparked valuable exchanges and reaffirmed InvestJigawa’s role as a proactive facilitator for investors, committed to resolving bottlenecks, enabling expansion, and advocating for business-friendly reforms.
