INVESTJIGAWA WEEKLY ACTIVITY REVIEW (JULY 1-7, 2024)
InvestJigawa had a productive week, engaging in various meetings and events.
On July 1, 2024, our team, led by Director General Furera Isma Jumare, met with Silvex International Limited, led by CEO Abubakar U. Adam, to discuss key issues, including government commitments, security, and collaboration with farmers and the Herdsmen Tribunal. The meeting resulted in agreements on immediate intervention, enhanced security, and ongoing collaboration to support investors in the region.
Furthermore, On July 2, 2024, Ambassador Fatima Kaila Nini, Special Adviser to the Jigawa State Governor on Women’s Entrepreneurship, paid a courtesy visit to InvestJigawa. She met with our Secretary/Legal Adviser, Dr Zakiyyu Muhammad Esq, to discuss areas of collaboration, including capacity building, joint ventures, investment opportunities, and support for local businesses.
Also, on July 2, 2024, our Director General, Furera Isma Jumare, attended the official commissioning of the Bank of Industry (BOI) and witnessed the signing of a 6 billion naira MoU between Jigawa State Government and BOI. This partnership aims to provide soft loans to medium and small-scale businesses, fostering entrepreneurship and economic development in the state.
Rounding off the week, On Friday, July 2, 2024, the CEO/MD of Wide Range Global Resources LTD, Yunusa Yusuf Dandada, and his Legal Adviser, Barrister Zubairu Haladu, paid a working visit to InvestJigawa to discuss areas of collaboration. During their meeting with Dr Zakiyyu Muhammad Esq, Secretary/Legal Adviser of InvestJigawa, they discussed the vast investment opportunities in exporting and mining resources in Jigawa state, an area where Wide Range Global Resources LTD specialises.
Overall, it was a productive week for InvestJigawa, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to drive economic growth and support Businesses in Jigawa State.
