InvestJigawa visited Hanan Hangout & Events on the 13th of October 2022. The company provides catering and hospitality services which include parties, workshops, meetings, and various charity programmes. The founder Hajiya Salma Waliki also took the InvestJigawa team to her company’s 250 capacity hall built to cater to larger events. The visit was part of InvestJigawa’s provision of aftercare services to investors in Jigawa State.

On 11th October 2022 a team led by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives, and Tourism embarked on a joint site inspection of Gagarawa Industrial Park. Other members of the team represented InvestJigawa, Due Process and Project Monitoring Bureau and the Rural Electricity Board. The visit was to inspect ongoing road, water and electricity works at the park.

The second InvestJigawa Council meeting held on 6th October 2022. On the agenda were review of the InvestJigawa Law, the agency’s 5 – year strategic plan and the draft Jigawa State Public-Private Partnership (PPP) policy. The draft policy was developed both from the state’s existing PPP framework and the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC)’s guidelines. As a routine activity, the meeting also reviewed specific investments and made recommendations that would ensure our investors operate smoothly in Jigawa State.
