InvestJigawa Advances Engagement on Green Horizon Climate-Smart Bioeconomy Initiative
InvestJigawa has continued its engagement with Danmowa Import and Export Limited towards the proposed Green Horizon Climate-Smart Bioeconomy Initiative in Jigawa State, with the project steadily progressing through the State’s investment facilitation and appraisal process.
The company first presented its investment proposal to the Jigawa State Executive Council on 27 July 2026, following which a formal application was submitted to InvestJigawa on 29 July 2026.
As part of the due diligence process, the Agency conducted a technical appraisal of the proposed investment on 6 August 2026, followed almost immediately by the first site inspection to assess the proposed project location and other relevant considerations.
Preparatory to the proposed signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between InvestJigawa and Danmowa Import and Export Limited, the company has now undertaken a second site inspection, marking another important step towards translating the proposed investment into a viable project.
The continued engagement reflects InvestJigawa’s commitment to ensuring that prospective investments are subjected to appropriate technical assessment, due diligence and site-level evaluation, while providing investors with the necessary facilitation and institutional support to navigate the investment process.
The Green Horizon Climate-Smart Bioeconomy Initiative represents an opportunity to advance sustainable and climate-smart economic activities in Jigawa State, with potential to contribute to value creation, employment and the development of a resilient green economy.
From proposal to appraisal, from appraisal to site assessment, and from engagement towards implementation, InvestJigawa continues to facilitate responsible investments that support the economic transformation of Jigawa State.
