JIGAWA HOLDS HIGH-POWERED STAKEHOLDERS ROUNDTABLE ON GAGARAWA AGRIBUSINESS PROJECT
On 14Th December, 2025, His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Engr. Aminu Usman, led a high-powered Stakeholders Roundtable with Great Northern Agribusiness (GNA), a subsidiary of the Lee Group, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and community-centered development.
The Roundtable brought together a distinguished assembly of traditional leaders, including the District Head of Danzomo, the Dokajin Gumel, the Tafidan Gumel, and several other district heads from the affected areas — a strong symbol of unity, leadership, and deep concern for the wellbeing of their people.
Also in attendance were the Executive Chairmen of Gagarawa, Sule Tankarkar, and Taura Local Governments, further demonstrating a shared resolve to ensure that the project aligns with the aspirations and livelihoods of the host communities.
The Director General of InvestJigawa, Hajia Aisha Sheikh Mujaddadi, and the Secretary/Legal Adviser of the Agency, Dr. Zakiyyu Muhammad, Esq., participated fully as the State continues to facilitate constructive engagement between GNA/Lee Group and the communities.
The Stakeholders Roundtable reaffirmed a collective commitment:
