INVESTJIGAWA PARTICIPATES IN MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL HALAL SUMMIT
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – InvestJigawa, represented by its Director General, Hajiya Aisha Sheik Mujaddadi, participated in the Malaysia International Halal Summit (MIHAS) in Kuala Lumpur, where Jigawa State’s investment opportunities in the Halal economy were promoted to international stakeholders.
The Jigawa State delegation to MIHAS was led by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Livestock Development, Prof. Abdurrahman Salim Lawal, who served as the team lead. Other members of the state delegation included Dr. Saifullahi Umar, Director General of the Jigawa Agricultural Transformation Agency, alongside senior officials and technical representatives supporting the mission.
At the summit, InvestJigawa’s role was to:
- Highlight Jigawa’s strengths in agriculture and livestock production.
- Position the state as an emerging destination for Halal certification and processing in West Africa.
- Connect with Malaysian firms, government agencies, and Halal industry leaders to explore potential partnerships.
The Jigawa team took part in key sessions including the Halal Certification Convention, the World Halal Business Conference, and MIHAS Power Talks on Halal Investments. These engagements created valuable opportunities to learn global best practices, strengthen networks, and open discussions for new investment avenues in Halal-compliant agribusiness and export development.
Through InvestJigawa’s active participation, Jigawa State reinforced its commitment to building a strong Halal ecosystem that attracts investment, creates jobs, and promotes sustainable economic growth.
