Lighting Up Jigawa Through Partnership: The commissioning of the 500 kWp Solar Hybrid Mini-Grid in Kafin Hausa
The commissioning of the 500 kWp Solar Hybrid Mini-Grid in Kafin Hausa is more than an energy project. It marks a bold step toward a brighter, cleaner, and more prosperous Jigawa State.
This milestone was made possible through strong collaboration between the Jigawa State Government, Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), Future Energies Africa, and Bagaja Renewables. Together, we have shown how strategic partnerships can deliver sustainable solutions that power homes, energize businesses, and improve livelihoods.
And this is only the beginning. Plans are already underway to replicate this success in Gumel, Kazaure, Hadejia, and the Maigatari Border Free Zone. These projects will expand access to reliable electricity, unlock new investment opportunities, create jobs, and transform communities across Jigawa.
At InvestJigawa, we remain committed to building strong partnerships that drive growth, attract investment, and secure a sustainable future for our people. Truly, partnerships power Jigawa’s progress — and the future is bright.
