A Month of Strategic Progress, New Leadership & Investor-Focused Engagements
May 2025 was a landmark month for InvestJigawa, reflecting our unwavering commitment to promoting Jigawa State as one of Nigeria’s most promising investment destinations. From a historic leadership transition to high-level engagements across regional and national platforms, the agency advanced its mission of enabling economic growth, innovation, and private sector development.
New Leadership: A Bold Step Forward
On May 8, InvestJigawa proudly welcomed Aisha Sheikh Mujaddadi as its new Director General. Her appointment signals a new era for investment promotion in Jigawa—one characterized by innovation, strategic partnerships, and a renewed focus on inclusive economic development. Under her leadership, the agency has already begun shaping a dynamic agenda to attract quality investments, and improve the ease of doing business across key sectors.
Boosting Connectivity: Dutse Cargo Airport Inspection
On May 10, InvestJigawa, represented by Secretary/Legal Adviser Dr. Zakiyyu Muhammad, in partnership with Rano Air, conducted a joint inspection of the Dutse Cargo Airport. The visit focused on the facility’s readiness to commence commercial passenger flight operations, which will significantly improve Jigawa’s connectivity and open new corridors for investment, tourism, and trade.
This move represents a vital step in strengthening the state’s infrastructure and reinforcing its appeal to investors seeking logistical efficiency and accessibility.
Showcasing Jigawa at Taravest 2025
