STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION MEETING WITH THE PRIVATE SECTOR IN PREPARATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE JIGAWA STATE BUSINESS ENABLING REFORM ACTION PLAN (BERAP) 2025

The Jigawa State Business Enabling Reform Action Plan (JS-BERAP) 2024 outlines initiatives to improve the business environment in Jigawa State, from January to December 2024. The plan focuses on reform areas such as enhancing digital services, improving judicial processes, supporting industrial development, and creating a more favorable investment climate.

On September 27, 2024, a meeting was held, led by the Director General of InvestJigawa Furera Isma Jumare, to prepare for the development of the BERAF for 2025. The discussion commenced with a review of progress so far whereby opinions of the private sector parties present were noted, especially challenges they had encountered in H1 2024. For 2025 suggestions included the need for better support for MSMEs, streamlining of land allocation processes, improvement on awareness creation regarding opportunities that government offers to businesses, enhancement of training for entrepreneurs, and facilitating small business growth and investment, particularly in import/export activities.
